Seaford man makes court appearance charged with attempted murder

A SEAFORD man was remanded in custody by Eastbourne magistrates this morning after being charged with attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life.

Paul Allwright, 62, of North Way, Seaford, made the appearance at Eastbourne Magistrates’ Court today following an incident in North Way on September 16.

Allwright was remanded in custody to appear before Lewes Crown Court on October 26.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is conducting an independent investigation into Sussex Police’s use of firearms during the incident.
