CHILDREN at Cradle Hill School put their skills to the test to programme robots during a technology day.

The Year Five children were treated to a whole day of Control Technology and were assisted by the Chyngton ICT support team.

The pupils were able to programme robots using software packages including Lego NXT and sent them travelling around the school hall.

Headteacher Gianni Bianchi said, “Not only does this kind of activity enhance their ICT skills but has many cross curricular links to Mathematics, Science and speaking and their listening skills.

“The team will be in later in the year to follow up the learning experience.”
