Police search for 14-year-old Jade

POLICE have launched an appeal to track down a teenager who has gone missing from an address in Pevensey.

Police officers and social workers are increasingly concerned for the welfare of 14-year-old Jade Cooper, who left an address where she had been staying near Pevensey on the afternoon of Thursday 11 October.

Jade, who comes from Brighton, is described as about 5’ tall, slim, with green eyes and black shoulder-length wavy hair. She was last seen wearing a black hoody, grey jumper, navy blue leggings and Ugg boots.

Her picture here shows her with blonde hair, but in a similar style to how it is now.

Detective Sergeant Mark Rosser said, “Although we have no information to suggest that Jade has come to any harm, we have been making widespread enquiries and there have been several apparent sightings of her back in Brighton since she disappeared and on Friday evening (October 19) we had a report that she had been seen in the Maidstone area.

“Before that, she was last seen in Hove the previous evening (October 17) and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her well-being.

“If you know where she has been in the past week or where she may be now, please call the police as soon possible on 101 quoting serial 949 of 11/10.”
