Police appeal for information after body found on beach

POLICE are appealing for information after a body was found on Seaford beach.

Officers could be spotted by South Hill Barn Car Park, off Chyngton Way, on Friday (May 25) morning following the grim discovery.

The cause of the woman’s death is currently unexplained and the Coroner has been informed.

Police and the Coroner have been unable to identify the woman or understand how she came to be on the beach.

They would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a woman near to the beach during the night or early hours of the morning on Friday.

She is described as white, 5’6’’, of medium to heavy build, 30 to 40-years-olds, with fair complexion and dark brown hair which is possibly shoulder length. She was wearing blue jeans, a predominantly blue floral top and yellow sweatshirt. She was also wearing two silver coloured rings, a Swatch watch and a silver coloured necklace with three charms on it.

They would also like to speak from anyone who recognises the description of the woman.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 438 of 25/5.
