Paralympian sets up project to tie in with Olympics

A PARALYMPIAN from Seaford has launched a project to tie in with the Olympic celebrations and give residents the chance to show off their creative skills.

Kristina Veasey got the idea after travelling to and from Lewes on the school run and noticing the diverse landscapes and particular landmarks.

She then took photos of the different areas and decided she wanted to display them and is keen to find out what people love about the area they live in.

People can get involved by uploading their artwork photos, memories, songs, poems and tweets to help build an interactive map.

A series of workshops are also being held in Sussex including one this Sunday (August 19) at the Mercread Centre between 10am and 4pm. People can learn skills from local illustrator Jo Brown and at the same venue on Tuesday August 21 there is a story writing workshop with author Giles Paley Phillips.
