The brother of murder victim Chris Poole spoke of the family’s pain after his killers were sentenced to years behind bars.

Rick Poole had to compose himself as he read out a statement on the steps of Lewes Crown Court on Friday (March 15).

Earlier Shane Noble, 20, of no fixed abode and 15-year-old Joe Chapman, formerly of Iden Street, were sentenced for the attack on 46-year-old Mr Poole.

Noble will serve a minimum of 11 years and Chapman will serve at least eight years.

Mr Poole was attacked outside the Premier store in The Hydneye area of Hampden Park in August last year.

Noble and Chapman were convicted of his murder last month following a trial.
