Men charged with historic sex offences

A PRIEST and a former organist have today been charged with sexual offences allegedly dating back 25 years ago.

Keith Wilkie Denford, 72, a priest now living in Shoreham, has been charged with assaulting and indecently assaulting boys under 16 in Sussex between 1987 and 1990.

Mytton, 68, now living in East Chiltington, has been charged with aiding and abetting Denford in one of the assaults.

The two men had been arrested in November last year on suspicion of sexual offences and were released on police bail. They were charged on the authority of the Crown Prosecution Service when they answered their bail back at the police station today.

They will both appear in court at Mid Sussex Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday May 22.
