Kings Park not contributing to Harbour council debate

A CONSULTATION on a parish council planned for Sovereign Harbour should not involve Kings Park, the voluntary management company for the estate has said.

Kings Park Management Company, which is made up of residents, said it had not been consulted and did not expect to be involved in Eastbourne Borough Council's consultation on the council, whose boundaries would not include Kings Park.

Pat Thompson, chair of the management company, said, "It would be odd for Kings Park to expect to be involved in something that does not affect it and we do not understand why anyone ever thought we would request this.

"However, we do wish SHRA every success in its application."

A report produced by Eastbourne Borough Council before its discussion of the parish council proposal stated that the management company had asked to be involved in the consultation despite being outside the council area but Mrs Thompson said this was incorrect.
