Eastbourne schoolgirl and Les Miserables starlet Isabelle Allen missed her first awards ceremony last weekend after contracting a sickness bug.

The ten-year-old, who has shot to fame thanks to her role in the musical blockbuster, was forced to miss out on the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The Moira House pupil was in the car on the way to her first ever red carpet awards event when she became and ill.

On missing the ceremony, Isabelle also missed the sight of her on-screen mother Anne Hathaway taking home the Best Supporting Actress prize for her role as Fantine.
