Impressive line-up for 20th year of Eastbourne airshow

EYES will be glued to the skies this weekend as Airbourne celebrates for its 20th year.

Both locals and visitors will flock to Eastbourne seafront for the free airshow which got underway on Thursday and continues until Sunday.

The Vulcan, The Blade acrobatic flying team and the Chinook are among the impressive crafts which will take to the skies. The crowds will also enjoy displays on the Western Lawns and a wide range of stalls stretching along the seafront towards Eastbourne Pier.

Airbourne is great news for the town’s economy, bringing in more than an estimated £27 million in visitor spending each year.

It fills up hotel bed spaces and attracts new and younger visitors to the town, with around a third of visitors being aged under 35.
