Hearing loop is installed at church hall

The hard of hearing in Pevensey Bay will benefit from a induction loop in St Wilfrid's Church hall.

The system has recently been installed after a donation from Age Concern.

Chairman of Pevensey Parish Council, Cllr John Grout, told members of the parish council about the new system at a meeting last week.

He said, "It has been installed and we are very grateful to Age Concern for its donation. We are now looking forward to the hall users benefiting from the system."

The loop induction system transmits sound directly to a hearing aid.

It connects to a loop amplifier and gets a signal from a microphone placed in front of the person speaking.
