Health centre hopes voiced
A PLANNED new state-of-the-art health centre will be a good thing for Polegate.
That's the view of Jason Sugarman, the Tories' challenger to the town's MP Norman Baker.
If given planning permission, the new centre will be built on Towermill Place, a former sheltered accommodation unit in Park Croft.
Mr Sugarman said, "A new state-of-the art health centre in Polegate will benefit the community and be able to offer a number of different services.
"The proposed centre has been discussed for a while and a number of different sites have been considered in the past.
"My only concern with the Towermill Place site is that local residents are able to access the new centre easily and I would encourage the local council to look into ways to make this new service as accessible as possible to all residents."
