Hailsham pair found guilty of child cruelty
A HAILSHAM couple have been found guilty of cruelty to a child.
Kenneth and Sharon Broadway, of Harebeating Drive, had denied the charges but were convicted after a trial at Hove Crown Court.
The offences were alleged to have taken place between July 9 and August 15, 2008.
The child involved can not be named for legal reasons.
Kenneth, 42, was convicted on two counts of cruelty to a person under the age of 16. Sharon, 29, was convicted on one, while the couple were also found guilty on a further joint charge.
The jury returned unanimous verdicts on all four counts.
The case was adjourned for sentencing at Aylesbury Crown Court in Buckinghamshire on April 9.
Both defendants were granted bail.
