Funeral set for popular football coach Jamie

THE FUNERAL of popular football coach Jamie Boyd will take place next week.

Jamie, a father-of-three and former Hampden Park School pupil, died at his home in Hampden Park on April 13.

He lived with his wife Michelle, also known as Minnie, and their children Jasmin, Billy and Scarlet. He was a keen footballer and involved with various local clubs.

Jamie was actively involved with coaching youth football and started working for Brighton and Hove Albion in the Community (AITC), in 2007. Jamie’s funeral will take place in the Main Chapel at Eastbourne Crematorium on May 8 at 1.45pm.

The family has said black dress is optional and are asking for family flowers only. Donations in Jamie’s memory should be made to National Autistic Society or Street League Football by cheque payable to the charity only. The donations should be sent to Co-operative Funeralcare, 56 High Street, Polegate, BN26 6AD.
