Fire crews called out to leak

PEVENSEY firefighters were called out to help an elderly lady with a leak in her bathroom last weekend.

The crews were called on Sunday afternoon (September 16) after the leak had been progress since 1am at the property in Coast Road, Pevensey Bay.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service was called at 2.23pm, by which time the dripping water was starting to affect the electrics.

Firefighters isolated the water supply and made the area safe, as well as contacting a plumber.

Residents are urged to take action immediately and to contact a plumber if there is a leak in the home.
