Eddie Kidd’s estranged wife to stand trial over alleged assault

The estranged wife of former daredevil stuntman Eddie Kidd has pleaded not guilty to six counts of assault by beating at Brighton Magistrates’ Court.

Samantha Kidd, 44, of High Street Seaford, has been charged with beating Mr Kidd between July and October lats year in Cumbria, Peacehaven and Southampton.

District Judge Stephen Nicholls said she will stand trial at Brighton Magistrates’ Court from July 9 to 10.

Mrs Kidd, a former model and actress, was given bail on condition that she does not contact Mr Kidd directly or indirectly and she does not to visit his property in Peacehaven, except on one occasion to collect her belongings with a police officer.

Mr Kidd, 53, was paralysed and brain damaged following a motorbike crash in 1996, but in 2011 he completed the London Marathon in 50 days.
