Eastbourne road closures for Diamond Jubilee parties

EASTBOURNE Borough Council has unveiled a list of 15 Queen’s Diamond Jubilee street parties which will require street closures next month.

Revellers will be enjoying the pomp and circumstance of the occasion which marks 60 years of the monarch’s reign.

The first of the celebrations will take place at Le Brun Road on Sunday, June 3 with a road closure from 9am to 6.30pm for a party involving 125 residents. Vicarage Road between Brightland and Greys will also be shut between 9am to 10pm for a party involving 50 people.

There will be parties spread across the Diamond Jubilee weekend going into the Bank Holiday on Tuesday, June 4.

June 3:

Le Brun Road 9am-6.30pm.

Glendale Avenue (top end of Gresham Close and Stuart Avenue) 10am-5pm.

Vicarage Road (between Brightland and Greys) 9am-10pm.

Jevington Gardens 12pm-5pm.

Dillingburgh Road (numbers 1-31) 11am-5pm.

June 4:

Pashley Road (from Summerdown Road to triangle with Compton Road) 10am-7pm.

Manvers Road 12pm-8pm.

Samoa Way 9am-9pm.

June 5:

Northbourne Road (junction of Seaside to Finmere) 8am-9pm.

Selwyn Road (junction with Torfield Road) 12pm-8pm.

Bowood Avenue 10am-8pm.

Great Cliffe Road (bottom end of Great Cliffe Road) 11am-10pm.

Badlesmere Road 12pm-5pm.

Dean Wood Close 9am-12am.

Moy Avenue 11am-8pm.
