Eastbourne nurse cleared of assaulting patients

A NURSE accused of assaulting two female patients at Eastbourne’s District General Hospital has been cleared by a jury.

After a five-day trial at Lewes Crown Court, 46-year-old Foday Chorr was found not guilty on five counts of sexually assaulting two women in June last year.

Mr Chorr, a psychiatric nursing assistant from Shrewsbury in Shropshire, was accused of touching the two female patients, who cannot be named, at the DGH between June 10 and 21 last year.

After the trial, Mr Chorr said: “I have maintained my innocence since day one. Justice is done.”
