Eastbourne man remanded in custody over betting shop robberies

The man accused of three armed robberies at Ladbrokes betting shops in Eastbourne in December and January has been denied bail by a crown court judge.

Rowan Jones, 21, of Latimer Road, appeared before a judge in chambers on Tuesday morning to ask for bail.

His application was turned down and he was remanded in custody until March.
