Drugs raid leads to arrest

A drugs raid at an Eastbourne home led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man.

At 9am yesterday (Thursday) officers swooped on an address in Kingfisher Drive.

A large quantity of Class A and Class B drugs were recovered with a potential street value of thousands of pounds.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.

PC Dan Cloake, Operations Co-ordinator for Eastbourne District, said, “This warrant was a result of information received about possible dealing of illicit drugs at the premises.

“We will always look at every piece of information received in regard to possible drugs supply in Eastbourne and act on it.

“This warrant should be a stark warning that if you intend to supply illegal drugs in Eastbourne then we will be knocking at your door soon.”

The arrested man has been bailed pending further police enquiries until April 22.
