Couple’s ASBO case dropped by police

AN ASBO hearing against an Eastbourne couple accused of harassing their neighbours in long-running feuds has been dropped because they have moved house.

An interim order was made against husband and wife Robin and Rachel Emanuel earlier this year (2011) by a judge at Hastings Magistrates Court after evidence provided by Sussex Police.

At the time the couple lived in Hurst Road and were warned not to use foul language or threatening behaviour towards some of their neighbours, not to throw objects or food products into their neighbours’ gardens or play loud music.

The couple were due to appear back in court this month (December) to face a full application for an ASBO but the case against them was dropped by a police solicitor after the couple moved from the Hurst Road address.
