Cooker fire at caravan park

FIRE crews were called to a caravan park in Hailsham after smoke was spotted billowing out of a mobile home.

Firefighters from Hailsham, Herstmonceux and Pevensey were called to the Lion House Caravan Park in Mill Road at 3pm on Saturday (November 10).

The fire is believed to have originated from a cooker.

Fire crews helped to extinguish the blaze and ventilate the property.

They left the scene at 3.30pm.
