Come with us, you guys

THREE shifty looking guys impersonating Sainsbury's staff were quickly apprehended by Sussex Police who were conducting community consultation at the Newhaven store.

Manager Angus Murray reported that customers had noticed the three acting suspiciously, hanging around the store entrance.

PC Louise Barkaway, with a colleague, questioned the three and said, "I couldn't get a word out of them so we had to arrest them and take the guys down to the station."

Justice was swift and the three have been sentenced to community service, collecting money at Sainsbury's Newhaven for its charity of the year, 'Waves', until November 5.

PC Barkaway added, "If they misbehave they have been told things could heat up for them after that and they could really be in the fire."

Waves works in the Seaford area providing family and children support services in the community. Sainsbury's Newhaven have set themselves the target of raising 6,000 in the year.
