Breaking news: Pair convicted of murder

Two teenagers have been found guilty of murdering Hampden Park man Chris Poole.

Shane Noble, 19, and a 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found guilty after the jury of seven women and five men delivered its verdict today (Wednesday).

Mr Poole, 46, was attacked outside the Premier shop in the Hydneye, Hampden Park on August 16 last year.

The trial, which took place at Lewes Crown Court, heard there had been a dispute between Mr Poole and a group of youths about his dogs, who had been tied up outside the shop.

Following the attack an ambulance and paramedic arrived at the scene and tried to revive Mr Poole but he had suffered severe damage to the artery between his neck and brain and died the following day.
