Body found at foot of cliffs on Tuesday

Eastbourne’s inshore lifeboat was launched on Wednesday lunchtime to help coastguards recover the body of a man found dead on the beach at the foot of the cliffs at Beachy Head.

The man’s body was taken to the top of the cliff by coastguards and police are now investigating but say his death is not suspicious. He has not yet been identified.
