A blue plaque cycle ride around Eastbourne will take place this Sunday (March 10).

The ride is being organised by Bespoke and is the first guided bike tour they have organised.

It will be led by Felicity Goodson and David Fraser who have been busy researching the town’s rich history.

They have identified 25 places of historic and cultural interest including famous residences and monuments. Cyclists will meet for the tour at the cafe just past Bede’s School, at the start of the South Downs Way, at 10.30am. They will enjoy five miles of relaxed, easy cycling. It will last around two hours and will include a 20-minute stop for refreshments.

Children are free but adults are asked for a donation of £5 to help pay for Bespoke’s leaflets. There is a maximum of 12 for each tour and places will be given on a first come first served basis. Email brian.booker60@yahoo.com or call 01323 439919 or 07970671808.
