The glittering fundraising Ball of the Fall for the Friends of Eastbourne Hospitals took place at the Winter Garden on Saturday (September 29).

The event was organised by the Friends and the Rotary Club of Eastbourne and sponsored by etc magazine, the Eastbourne Herald and W. Bruford.

Revellers tucked into a three-course meal and enjoyed entertainment from performers including Chelsie Gotz and Carl Parsons, a casino, disco, live phone-in auction and music from Paul Davis and the Easy Beat Orchestra.Ashley Pugh from the jewellers in Cornfield Road and Eastbourne’s Arndale Centre, said he had been delighted to be one of the lead sponsors at the event. “We always like to do something in the community and this is such a good cause we are happy to sponsor it,” said Ashley.

“It’s a cause that is close to our hearts.”
