Bad weather forces changes to bus timetable

Stagecoach will be making changes to the bus timetable this evening (Tuesday, March 12).

A Stagecoach spokesperson said, “Some bus services will be diverted this evening because of anticipated low temperatures and ice.

“We will endeavour to provide a full service (subject to problems with side roads) from Wednesday morning.”

The changes are:

Routes 1/1A - From 1900 hours, buses won’t serve Kingfisher Drive, Langney Shops, Sevenoaks Road and Pembury Road. Instead they will be diverted via Langney Rise.

Buses won’t serve Southfields Road and will be diverted via Upperton Road and The Goffs. Green Street will not have any evening buses as they will go via Victoria Drive instead.

Journeys on the 1A won’t go to Maywood Avenue and Lindfield Road. They will go via Brodrick Road and Decoy Drive.

The Eastbourne Loop - From 1900 hours buses won’t serve Enys Road and Carew Road.

There won’t be any Loop buses to Beatty Road and Ramsay Way and will be diverted via Princes Road.

Telscombe Road, Netherfield Avenue, Priory Road and The Rising will not have any Loop buses this evening. Between ASDA/Tanbridge Road and Langney Loop buses will run via Langney Rise.

Loop buses won’t go to Langney Shops bus stop.

Route 51 - After 2030 there will be no buses to Coppice Avenue, Farmlands Way and Wannock Road. Instead buses will stay on the main road (Eastbourne Road). From Eastbourne buses will only go as far as Hailsham Town Centre. There won’t be evening buses to Angelsey Avenue, Hawks Road and Roebuck Park.
