An early Xmas event in store for shoppers

A EASTBOURNE store is hosting a Christmas event - in August!

ESK superstore – which has branches in Courtlands Road, Eastbourne, and Cambridge Road, Hastings – is hosting a bumper free weekend Christmas workshop at its Eastbourne branch on Saturday August 18 and Sunday August 19.

ESK managing director Bob Beevis said, “Last year we had a massively successful Christmas grotto weekend which was at the end of November.

‘This year we will be doing the same but we have decided to go one step further – and start in the middle of August.

‘It may seem slightly strange but that’s the way we do it at ESK – bigger and better – and that’s what our free weekend is going to be.”

Customers are invited into the Eastbourne store for the ESK Santa Summer Workshop from 11am-3pm both days to see Santa and his elves in their workshop making the kids their presents for Christmas.

Santa will be sawing away, using his hammer and paintbrush making the various presents.

Youngsters will be able to chat with Santa and there will be forms available where they can fill in their wish lists for what presents they would like, and they can then post the form through the in-store letterbox.

ESK has also invested in special animated figures which will be helping in the grotto - and they’re not to be missed.
