A JET ski and water-skier ran in to difficulty on Sunday (August 26).
Eastbourne’s inshore lifeboat was launched at 10.39am following a 99 call from a concerned member of the public.
The person who made the call said there was a person in the water waving for help with a broken down jet ski.
RNLI volunteers quickly launched to the scene and found the jet ski had been towing a water-skier and had accidentally run over the tow rope which had blocked the vessel’s intake and stalled the craft.
Another small craft was assisting the couple ashore.
The lifeboat stood by until the party were safely ashore and then returned to station.
