When will our bin be emptied?

When I received my garden waste recycling bin in January this year it seemed that Eastbourne was catching up with other towns.

I was even more impressed when in May this bin would also be used to collect cardboard, instead of having to go to a recycling centre.

However, all is not well, as since this service begun, my bin has not been emptied on any occasion.

Myself and my wife have made numerous phone calls regarding the situation and have been assured on each occasion that the problem would be rectified.

To date I am still waiting for my bin to be emptied. One collection has been very regular during this time, my council tax from my bank account.

Maybe one day I will receive a reply from the e-mail I sent to recycle@eastbourne.gov.uk but I doubt it considering the track record so far.

If Paul Marsden, the cleansing contracts manager, reads this letter perhaps he would like to contact me and explain what his stance on recycling is as it doesn't seem to be much of a priority.
