Thanks for your vote in latest poll
Although unsuccessful in the County Council elections on June 4 we wanted to say thank you to all who voted Liberal Democrat in Hailsham.
The national headlines swamped the local message and, although our vote held strong, anger at the events in Westminster placed the protest vote with a party who had no hope of defeating the Conservatives, rather than one who could.
Nationally, support for the Liberal Democrats is growing. The Lib Dems achieved a record share of the vote and won almost three times as many seats as Labour.
With people like Nick Clegg and Vince Cable at the helm, we are in a strong position to seriously challenge the status quo at the next general election – whenever that may be.
