Salvationists will be missed

I wanted to record my heartfelt thanks from the people of Eastbourne, especially the homeless and under privileged that have received so much help, kindness, love and support from both Majors Gillian and Stuart Dicker, who, having now completed their placement in Eastbourne, are off to a new posting in Essex.

I am not a Salvationist but I do help with the community service work which has been expanded immensely due to the commitment and enthusiasm of Gillian and Stuart. So many of the homeless and those people that have been helped wanted to express their appreciation and thanks for all the good works that have been undertaken by the Salvation Army under Gillian's and Stuart's leadership.

I know that they do not work nine to five but have been available to anyone in need twenty four hours a day seven days a week. It is impossible for me to list all the achievements of the Majors as the list just goes on and on.

So could I just say a very big heartfelt thank you to both Gillian and Stuart and wish them every success and happiness in their new posting.

Steve and Claire Isted, Dukes Quay, Sovereign Harbour North.
