Poster vandals' long history

In reply to the chair of the Eastbourne Liberal Democrats Councillor Beryl Healy, I notice typically of her she attacks the personality without addressing the issues.

Had she have done so she would have noticed that at no time did I suggest the Liberal Democrat Party was vandalising Conservative Party or UKIP posters and I would certainly hope that no responsible party organisation would consider such actions.

However, now that she mentions it, it is in my memory that Conservative posters have been regularly vandalised over the last 30 years so if she is accurate in attributing it to general anti-social behaviour, we must now be dealing with the son or grandson of the original perpetrator and surely it must have occurred to the good lady that it does appear somewhat strange that Conservative posters are so regularly vandalised and how lucky she must feel that theirs seem to avoid the attention of this politically selective vandal.

I did overhear a conversation by a group of youngish people, which was certainly more than two, boasting that they had arrived overnight to help the Liberal Democrat cause but in any event, by her own admission, why would they need two outsiders 'who paid their own expenses' if they had 400 local party helpers.

I notice the lady suggests I stick to the facts. Well then, if she can't accept mine – perhaps the chair of the Eastbourne Liberal Democrat Party could explain the Eastbourne Airbourne fiasco, the bungled sale of Eastbourne Buses, the state of Eastbourne Borough Council finances and more important, the latest revelation that the council has failed to collect rates of more than 500,000.
