Much can be done to help patients make improvements

I WAS so pleased to read (Herald, April 20) that a young lady in Eastbourne affected by ME is to set up a buddy scheme for other youngsters with the illness.

People from Eastbourne recently contributed to a survey run by our charity among those with Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME) or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) across Sussex.

The survey results clearly shows although ME can be a long term seriously disabling illness for many there is much that can be done to help a good number of patients make significant improvements.
