Lovely childhood memories

I WAS very sorry to hear that the Hungry Monk has closed due to the economic recession.

In 1943 I was born at the Hungry Monk it used to be called Monks Rest and my parents lived there before moving to Wannock where they stayed for many years.

I am glad the listed building will be rented out to tourists as I will still be able to see my birthplace!
