LETTER: Inconsiderate litterbugs

If like me you shop in the Arndale, and you access it via Ashford Road, you can't help but notice the work going on there, including new pavements and bollards. Walking westwards towards the centre, between the last house on the left and the slip road is a small copse (bushes) which has recently been cut back to allow pedestrians to get by. Yet, alas, below it on the ground is a waste tip; empty cans and used food wrapping. It's a sad reflection of our society when we can't be bothered to dispose of our litter in the appropriate bins. One can only hope education will prevail and teach those inconsiderate few the error of their ways. Unfortunately I have my doubts!
