LETTER: Half-built unit a sorry site

What a sad indication of the economic problems facing our country is the sight of the new radiotherapy unit at the DGH. Desperately needed to save the sickest patients a trip to Brighton, Maidstone, or London, standing mothballed in mid-construction due to a lack of funding.

As the UK continues to pour £350 million per week into the EU, whose accountants have failed to sign off its accounts for the last 19 years, it must make more sense to direct this money towards the NHS, along with other areas of our national life for the benefit of the people of this country. And by voting to leave the European Union in the forthcoming referendum.
