How will this create jobs?

STEPHEN Lloyd MP has a well-deserved reputation for supporting all aspects of Eastbourne life, but I don’t understand why he thinks the proposed clock change will ‘create jobs’ (Herald, January 20).

Is there an employer in Eastbourne who will recruit more staff just because the sun rises and sets an hour later?

I wonder too whether our local fishermen and farmers will be happy when the sun does not rise earlier than 8am in November and February, or rises closer to 9am in December and January.
