Exhibition town can be proud of

I CONGRATULATE the Towner Gallery’s curators on their choices for the East Sussex Open – they have produced a show of which Eastbourne can be proud.

There’s a wide range of work: from paintings we can all readily enjoy to pieces which are bound to provoke debate about the nature of art. There’s good variety too in the media used, with evidence of original ideas and a high standard of execution throughout.

The Towner is providing a fine showcase for local artists, and there’s clearly plenty of talent out there.
