Don't alter restaurant

With reference to Keith Adams' letter in the Herald dated June 12, I was dismayed to read his remarks.

Whilst I agree the Wish Tower restaurant and sun lounge need a complete refurbishment, it should not be changed from its present format.

It should be remembered that this property was paid for in the main by Mr Foyle and residents of Eastbourne as a permanent memorial to those who served in the armed forces and residence of Eastbourne who lost their lives in the Second World War.

What, I am sure, most residents of Eastbourne would not want to see is an expensive elitist building which could not be readily used by people of all walks of life.
