Do DGH visitors use surgical gel?
WITH regard to the comments by Patricia Pratt in her letter of January 27, I also have noticed on my numerous visits to the DGH just how many people take no notice of the warning for visitors to use the surgical gel on their hands.
Also how many nurses do you see going off duty, with their uniforms on, they go home to feed and pat the dog, or cat, pick up their children and return to hospital still in their uniform?
Do they also put the uniform in with the family wash?
Many years ago the nurses’ laundry was done in-house.
Perhaps this should be looked into.
