ON MY recent visit to Eastbourne immediately prior to the Jubilee weekend (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week) I was disappointed to see that there were no municipal flags or bunting along Terminus Road, Grove Road or the seafront.
No municipal buildings had bunting. The library in Grove Road would have lent itself to decoration with bunting, but no.
The impression I received was dreary couldn’t care less about tourists and more importantly, the Jubilee.
