I ENJOYED Sunday’s tribute ‘Champagne Quartet’ concert at the Congress in memory of a musician from Eastbourne John Wesley Woodward.
It was moving – and as they played ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ you could almost imagine you were a passenger on the Titanic waiting to die.
I think many tears were shed by old age pensioners around me. What will happen in 100 years’ time I wonder.
LORRAINE FORBES,
Leslie Street.
