Article gave false hope

I READ with interest and some amazement the article regarding the shelving, albeit temporary, of the proposed Kings Drive development.

I have followed this from the outset and along with many neighbours objected to each suggested proposal.

What I find hard to understand is the misleading content of the article which, in my opinion, give false hope to all who have worked so hard to prevent this unnecessary development.

The original plans were submitted by Wimpy’s. The second application made by Chatsworth Estate was for outline planning.

Surely only the most naive would think they would be developing the site. Their rational was to secure outline planning to ensure this piece of real estate was sold at best possible price, I understand around £6m, to fund the ongoing development of Chatsworth House.

In light of the foregoing I fail to see what difference Stephen Lloyd’s intervention has made to the overall situation.
