People working in the horticulture industry in Eastbourne, Halisham and Seaford are being encouraged to become more water efficient by taking part in a new online course.

The Certificate in Water Conservation is designed to help industry professionals to adopt environmentally sensitive and cost-effective ways of using water in gardens, parks and sports grounds and also passing on these tips to their clients. It has been developed by the Horticultural Industry and has the full support of South East Water who is hoping the hour-long course will inspire landscapers, gardeners, designers and groundskeepers to plan, build, establish and maintain grounds, landscapes and sites in ways that conserve water and manage it sustainably.

The online course is being offered at an introductory price of £10 per learner until mid-July. The course comprises of an inspirational video, eLearning module, an assessment and accessed via www.htalearning.org.uk
