A 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the blaze at Shinewater School has been released on bail after being quizzed by police.
The teenager was picked up yesterday (Wednesday) by detectives investigating the arson attack in the early hours of Monday morning.
He has been bailed until January 22.
A 14-year-old boy arrested on Tuesday has also been quizzed and released on bail until October 22.
Another 14-year-old boy arrested within hours of the blaze at the Milfoil Drive school has also been released on bail until January.
Investigators believe the fire was started deliberately at around 1am in a corner of a classroom and quickly spread destroying half of the school building.
Chief Inspector Emma Brice said, “This has been very distressing for the local community and we are still trying to piece together events leading up to the fire.
“I would ask anybody who may have heard or seen something, no matter how insignificant it may seem to them, to get in touch.”
