DOGS across Eastbourne will now be easily reunited with their families if they get lost – thanks to free micro-chipping at a local pet store.

As part of an initiative funded by Eastbourne Homes, dog owners can get their beloved pooches chipped for free at Pets at Home in Lottbridge Drove.

The first batch were fitted earlier this week but the service will remain available until Saturday, March 24.

Attendance is by appointment only and the procedure will only be carried out with a valid voucher.

Kirsty Peckham, of Eastbourne Homes, said, “Micro-chipping is the most effective and secure way of permanently identifying a pet and reuniting it with its owner.

“We’ve also offered free neutering vouchers via the RSPCA and have been amazed at the high demand for both the chips and neutering vouchers.”

To apply for a free micro-chipping voucher, please contact Kirsty Peckham on 436436 or email kirsty.peckham@eastbournehomes.org.uk.
