Police are appealing for information after jewellery and cash worth thousands of pounds was taken from a Seaford home.
The property in Carlton Road was targeted between 9am and 6.50pm on Friday October 5.
Police said the culprit(s) forced a door at the rear of the address and an untidy search took place before goods were taken.
A laptop was stolen during the burglary as well as a set of spare keys to a car, plus cash and jewellery worth at least £3,000.
Forensic examination has been carried out and officers have been talking to residents in the area in a bid to trace those responsible.
Acting Seaford sergeant Chris Wright said, “We have spoken to most of the neighbours but if anyone has seen any suspicious activity in the area please contact us as a priority.
“If there was any supicious activity in the lead up to the offence we would like to hear from people, it’s clear whoever was responsible would have been checking the premises out previous to the break-in.”
Earlier this year police warned clubs to be wary after several were broken into.
During July the Salts Sports Complex, Seaford Bowling Club and Newhaven & Seaford Sailing Club were all targeted.
In the first incident a safe containing £650 was taken, at Seaford Bowling Club a charity box and safe swiped and at the sailing club damage was caused but nothing taken.
Anyone with information on the latest offence should contact police on 101.
