THREE young people were rescued by the RNLI’s Inshore Lifeboat this afternoon (July 27) after their jet ski became waterlogged.
The jet ski wouldn’t re-start because the group had forgotten to plug the drain holes before leaving the beach.
It slowly filled with water eventually causing the engine to fail.
Their plight was observed by concerned onlookers on the beach and lifeboat crews were launched to assist.
All three people were taken aboard the Inshore Lifeboat and were returned, along with the jet ski, to the beach near the Spray Watersports Centre.
